We now have 4 of these bike racks and love them. etrailer did an awesome job processing our order quickly and when 2 of them arrived with missing end caps, they quickly rectified the situation and sent the replacement parts quickly so we were able to make our trip as scheduled. I can't say enough good things about this bike rack.I was going to go with a cheaper model but I'm glad I spent the extra money for this Saris.The rack installs and comes off the hitch quickly.The bikes also are easy to load and unload.This thing is great.The first one got ruined by the carrier and etrailer sent me out a new one immediately.Top notch service.

Thanks to etrailer’s excellent information, I managed to find a bike rack that would carry 2 e-bikes and work with my existing class I 1-1/4 in receiver. I had the added challenge that I carry the bikes on a car that I tow behind my RV, so it needed to be rated for a tow vehicle. The Saris Superclamp EX met all my criteria, and for a reasonable price. I was also happy to find that it’s made in the USA. Install was fairly easy, couple of minor hiccup’s as I figured out the drawings, which, to be honest, weren’t entirely clear. But it’s pretty intuitive, so just added an extra minute or two, and probably wouldn’t phase the more mechanically minded. I’m a somewhat out of shape 50’s female, and I don’t have any trouble moving the rack around, it’s a nice weight and fairly compact when collapsed. It’s very easy to access the hatch when the bikes are not mounted. Haven’t tried it with bikes on yet. Once installed, it is rock solid. Loading my 45ish lb bike (with battery removed) is doable. In a perfect world it would have a ramp, but given my other criteria were met, I’m happy to do without the ramp. The rack seems like it holds the bike firmly during transport so overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase. Also, there wasn’t a ton of unnecessary packaging to get rid of, but things were well protected in shipment. Customer service from etrailer is stellar as well, they helped quickly with a minor issue. Happy customer here!

While getting a bike rack for a sports car isn't ideal, I really wanted to transfer my bike with my own car instead of borrowing my friend's pickup truck. After hours of trying to find a bike rack that would be good for my 07 Mustang, I decided to give this one a try and I gotta say, it has been pretty good so far. It fits very well over the factory spoiler. One of my biggest concerns I was worried about when ordering a rack for my Mustang was ruining the paint, but the feet on the legs haven't left one scratch. I have used this to transfer my bike at freeway speeds (up to 80 mph) on car rides that typically last an hour and my bike was perfectly secure throughout each ride. For extra security, I wrapped both bike wheels with a ratchet strap so the wheels and pedals wouldn't shift in transit. So far, I am very pleased with this bike rack for the price and quality. I would highly recommend this if you want a rack that is affordable and durable.

Very good product. It holds the bike securely on the roof without contacting the frame. It is easy to adjust from my road bike to my 29er mountain bike. Our drives are all relatively short, so I like that I do not need to remove the front wheel to lock in the bike. It's also nice that the SKS locking system allows me to use the same key for this rack that I use for my Yakima roof box and hitch rack. This is my first roof rack and I chose this route for a couple reasons. Some of the roads we travel to get to our trail heads are a bit rough and with a roof rack I don't have to worry about bottoming out a hitch rack hanging off the back of the vehicle. Also, it takes up less room in the garage. Our vehicle is a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an additional 4 inches of ground clearance. That makes it a bit of a reach for my 5'4" wife, so we take our two-step along to help her.This is my third time purchasing from etrailer, and each experience has been very good. They are a very customer service oriented company. I really appreciate all the additional information they provide on their products, especially all the videos they produce to aid in reviews, assembly, and use.

First, the folks at ETrailer are on their game! The product videos are great and customer service emailed me when they saw my roof racks were delivered! That’s awesome!!I decided to go with the Yakima front loader wheel mount bike rack. I did not want to be bothered with removing the front tires every time I put my bikes on the roof. These were more than a snap to install. Do yourself a favor look up your vehicle and I can almost guarantee you there’s a video or five for it LOL. The material these are made out of feel good and strong like they will last a long time. Again they were super easy to set up the hardest part is actually getting the bikes up on the roof of my suburban as I am not that tall LOL. I highly recommend this if you’re going to be an occasional bike transporter.

Positive:The product is well thought out and works for a wide range of automotive vehicles. It comes with interesting dampers that i think work.Instructions seem to be translated from another language, but are quite good, accompanying pictures make installation straightforward.A test drive over speed bumps shows that the rack will support the bike for all travel needs. It can be disassembled , collapsed and stored in the trunk.Downside:The rack is made for the classic triangular shaped frame: horizontal cross bar, "male" bike. For bikes without the horizontal bar, mounting is a little less satisfactory. Such a bike can only be mounted on the outside mounts. Cannot use the damper on one side. Picture shows the mounting.as to a design solution, maybe brackets could be replaced with smaller profile, some adjustability? however, as it is, vibration control is good and adjustability with smaller profile would have vibration concerns.

Ordered online, it shipped the same day. Received it 3 days later. There is a little assembly, but, pretty simple. It took me less than 15 minutes to install and no tools were needed. It is adjustable to be used on many different auto types, but, the instructions were very clear about how to adjust it to fit my 2011 Ford Edge.I have used it twice so far to transport my bike. There are a couple of items that are inherent in the design, not a flaw, but, you need to be aware of them. First, you can't use rear window wipers. Second, the back-up alarm goes nuts because it registers a bike less than 6 inches behind you (I tolerate it for the few seconds it takes to back out of my driveway or out of a parking lot). Third, there is a little flexibility, it is held on with straps and clamps, not bolts, so, it bounces a little when you go over bumps or make sharp turns, however, it holds the bike fast to the frame and stays on the car. I use mine to transport my bike on short trips around town to bike trails. On a long trip I would suggest checking that the straps remain tight from time to time during the drive.

etrailer.com asked me for a review about 1 week after it arrived. A better review would be in about 6-12 months after delivery to allow me time to use and experience the rack. Disclosure: my review is just for the assembly and install. Assembly is not easy. I needed to go to the internet and look at photos. The instructions lack detail. So only 4 stars for assembly instructions. It seems like a good design. The included locks seem cheap - like why bother including. The hitch pin design seems to tighten down the rack so there should be minimal rattle and movement. The rack sits up relatively high, so it would be safer to lift heavier e-bikes with two people or use some type of field engineered ramp. Wish it was made in the US and I wish the country of original was fully disclosed in the etrailer.com description. Perhaps it is disclosed but I learned it was from china after it was delivered.

Have used mine several times in the past 2 years on the back of a ‘21 Honda Pilot and a ‘19 Ram 1500 Classic. I really like that the platform will tilt downward allowing the Pilot rear hatch to open with no interference. The tailgate on the Ram doesnt open fully even with the platform tilted downward, but that is a Ram problem & not a Curt problem. Was well worth the money.

Rack going strong. No hay problema. Cannot leave rack on my SUV because i get stopped and ask where I by this item here in Puerto Rico. I say not here, go to etrailer. They do not believe price including shipping. They buy here in PR and they say it's like paying for a month's worth of a new car monthly payment. My Daughter brought one here do not know brand and ask for mine and she starting talking chinese to me because I did not tell her that I brought from your store. Seasucker's Komodo Is a very high quality product that looks like a piece of art. I'm likely to get more compliments on the Komodo rack than my bike or car!

So after much research into bike racks, I decided on pulling the plug on the Kuat Sherpa 2.0. I've looked into the Kuat NV and other brands, but they were just too much for my needs. If you've got "regular" bikes and not the heavier eBikes, then this rack is perfect. I wanted a hitch rack that was user friendly and not overly complicated. I have a mixed bag of bikes and this rack can handle them all, from mountain bikes, street bikes, and BMX bikes. I like that this rack comes with an adapter piece for 20"-24" wheels. Assembly of the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 is really a no-brainer. I think it's only 4-5 bolts really. Everything else is ready to go. The anti-rattle hitch ball mechanism is simple to use with just a twist of the dial, easy. The tilt pedal/lever is also easy to access should you need to open your hatch, a solid "click" assures it's in place. So far, loving this rack. Fit and finish is superb. Thanks to Jerred and etrailer for answering my questions, always helpful.

OMG!! I have been researching and pricing bike racks for a month. Every time I thought I was ready to pull the trigger, I have a question or review that through me off the trail. I was ready to purchase the rack from outdoor retail store and drive 2 hours to pick it up from store to save the $75 shipping, when I thought about etrailer that I had used when I had a travel trailer. Checked them out, they had the exact rack I decided to buy, with $[XX] discount and free shipping. Life doesn’t get any better. It was delivered right on time and in great shape. BTW etrailers website description and videos were better than the racks manufacturer site. You are Rock Stars in my book. Overall, start to finish was above and beyond expectations.

Originally I was looking to put a hitch on my 2021 jeep renegade sport for a hitch mount bike rack, after seeing that I would either have to remove seam sealer and drill holes in my rear subframe (this is not a good option living in the rust belt), or remove my entire back bumper off and cut holes in it for the factory style hitch, and still have a rack that is illegal and blocks my license plate/brake lights turn signals I decided to look at different options. A roof rack is a little too high to lift a bike on comfortably. This thule outway platform 2 takes about 10 minutes to install correctly, and is solid and holds the bike securely, and the rack locks to the vehicle, and also the bikes lock to the rack no extra purchases required (comes with 2 keys and plastic spoiler supports). I have driven 80mph over potholes and bumps, also on extreme hills and has held securely.

I just installed this on Friday and we used it for a short trip to the bike shop. So far, it is not bad. I had to laugh; Yakima applied their logo upside-down! I read the directions at least 3x to be sure I didn't have them reversed...I did it right. The directions also show a logo on both, upper & lower rack. I guess they wanted to save some $$ ? Assembly was easy with just three steps. The hitch has a lock to lock it to the car, which is great, but the cover won't stay on. It takes 2 hands, one to hold the lock in place and the other to try to put the cover over the lock. It just pops off the second you release pressure. I will try again in warmer weather, then tape it on so hopefully it will mold to the lock and eventually stay put without the tape.I am not convinced of the stability of the bikes, really. Going over bumps they do shake. For safety, we are going to add straps from the luggage rack and through the bikes, just in case.I really like the cable locks to secure the bikes to the rack. With our old rack there really wasn't a way to lock the bikes to the rack, and I always worried when we were traveling and stopped for food.

As etrailer reminded me, I have had this thing for a year and it is awesome. I did a lot of research before buying and am certainly glad it steered me towards this product. My hatch just clears the rack when it is in the stowed (up) position and it just clears my handlebars in the tilted (down) position. Fits like a glove!The bolt fits snugly and makes for a very quiet ride. I love the anti-theft bolt-end but I make sure to pull on it after installing because it is hard to tell for sure if it is on. Mine was not and I drove away, losing it. They're not super expensive, but are super back-ordered rn so I had to find one from MasterLock that fits. I actually take mine on and off a fair amount because I'm hauling stuff around and loading/unloading is much easier without the rack in place even with it all folded into the stowed position.I've taken this rack across the country a few times (with and without bikes) and it has been great. I try not to exceed 90mph with a bike in the rack...Two things to know:1. When you are only carrying one bike you have to make certain that the other spot's ratcheting arm is as ratcheted-down as possible. I once had it slip and it was dragging in the roadway before someone started flashing lights at me and I caught it.2. I use a Voile strap (elastic cargo strap) to hold my front tire down. See attached photo. If you don't, it is possible for the front wheel to roll back a little bit and loosen the fit. I don't know why Yakima hasn't made this change themselves but it's simple and makes your bike WAY more secure especially on winding roads.

Works great for my 2019 Jeep Renegade. I adjusted it to be open a little more, so I could use my rear wiper. It also keep pressure off the rear spoiler.

We purchased the Hang Out to expand our biking options while camping.Several years ago we purchased a Jack-It Aero carrier from e-Trailer to carry bikes on our TAG. It's a great option for transporting bikes T/F camp ground. But what do you do if the bike trails are a distance from where you’re camping? Enter the Hang Out. It takes up minimum space, mounts quickly to the Jeep and off we go. Bonus: We jettisoned a bulky, expensive hitch-mounted carrier and use the Hang Out for local bike excursions.

I'm a senior e-biker who wishes to roll back the years, but that isn't possible. I drive a 2020 Chevy Equinox and have two electric bikes, which I had carried on a small rack. I saw the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes and resisted no longer. A few days later, my package was delivered. That night, I read and re-read the assembly instructions. It went together well, with no glitches. The hitch is super sturdy. No wiggle room at all. Once together, I loaded up my heaviest bike, mindful of using one of those metal bars for support since it's a low-step bike. (Remember, I'm a senior. Legs don't swing high like they once did.) Photos accompany them to show how she will ride. This will allow me to explore farther and go places I could not have before I had this rack. I like the ability to flatten it when not in use. This will also allow me to haul my granddaughter's bike together here in South Jersey or, as in "Toy Story," "To infinity and beyond."

Very heavy. The holding pins require a fair amount of force to unlock to lower the rack to open the trunk. Also, loading the bike could be difficult for some. I guess that is the price to pay for having an e-bike

As always, fast order processing an delivery from etrailer. The rack is exactly what I expected. Our Heybike Rangers are 60lbs each without the battery and this rack handles bikes up to 70lbs each. Super simple to assemble, quality parts with perfect alignment and the fit and finish are first rate. My wife can load her own bike with the included ramp. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I've since drilled additional 1/4" holes 2" forward of the originals so that I can get the second straps to fit over the front tires. The original placements didn't work with our bikes (see photo).

I have no problems with Etrailer, but this Hollywood Rack was one of the worst purchases I've ever made. I had it mounted on the back of a Class B* Motorhome carrying two 2500.00 EBikes. Each bike weighing 65Lbs each which according to the Hollywood Carrier specs was OK. As I was nearing my destination I drove over a speed bump and unbeknownst to me the small pipe with clamps on each end that secured the inside bike to the outside the plastic clamps broke with both bikes falling sideways with handle bars and controls dragging on pavement. The bikes didn't fall completely off because the tires were being held in place by the straps that held the bottom of each tire to the tray. I drove approximately 1 block dragging the bikes, which caused irreparable damage to the controls, cables and handle bars. An no I didn't report this or take pictures. I guess I was to heartbroken and disgusted to think of things like that The Bikes were brand new with less than 10 miles ridden. Since this happened I was notified of a recall from the manufacturer, but I'm so disgusted I would never trust trying to use it agin.

One year in and it is great. I have a 2021 Subaru accent and it is perfect. We carry 4 adult bikes and while it is a tight fit it works great. The rack is VERY solid and does not move when tightened up. Over the past year we have used it 3-4 times with no issues so far. It is easy to use and one person can easily load and unload the bikes. The tilt up feature is nice and when the rack is down and there are no bikes we can open the back hatch without an issue and there is plenty of clearance. We have been very happy with the performance and the price.
