Indeed! Many years ago at JFK, I boarded a three class DC-10 operated by AA. Destination: LAX. Class of service: F. After takeoff, the first things we were offered were chilled vodka and caviar. "Hold the caviar, ma'am", said I, "but keep that vodka coming!".........

Maybe we'll get the same vodka served in LH F.

Smirnoff is a change I would not like. I'd prefer LX F's choice of wodka- Grey Goose, although Abosolut, Skyy, and Finlandia do just fine.

Why is it that I cannot understand why anyone would pass on the caviar? It is wonderful stuff that is difficult to find and when you do find it, you usually would need to take out a mortgage on your house in order to pay for it.
The "wodka" goes with it nicely but the star of the show is the caviar.

I'd pass on caviar. I don't like the texture and the slight crunchy/popping sound in my mouth gives me the creeps for some unexplainable reason.

Plus1!^ I am much more of a foodie than a drinker, so I concur!

The stuff LH is serving is neither that rare nor that expensive. I'd much rather they spent an equivalent amount of money on a nice piece of other seafood than (at best) mid-grade caviar that is supposed to be "special" but really isn't all that much.

Agreed. How about some nice pate de foie gras? Now that is something I could sink my teeth into. I find Caviar too fishy and salty for my taste. And Vodka is just alcohol to me.
